Herdsires
Our Herd sire row is filled with the best of all that makes the American herd improve with each new cria. We have Full Peruvians, a powerful mix of Chilean and Peruvian, not to mention a row filled with full Accoyo sons whose genetics will vastly improve the USA herd. All this means is that we have searched high and low to bring in males that will continue to improve the US Alpaca Market.
Our Accoyo herd sires sound like a book of "who's who?" in the Accoyo world. We have genetics which include: Dracula, Camilio, Vengador, Plantel, El Nino, & Caliguia. Our full Peruvian line include the genetics of MFI Barringer, Dracula, 6 Peruvian Marko, My Peruvian Black Knight, Majestado de Peru and Peruvian Zephyrus.
History of the Ranch
Flying Pony Alpacas consists of THREE farm locations. Each is named for the street it is located on. The Orchard farm is home to all males, and was the first location. The Willow farm is all of our breeding girls and crias, then there is the newly purchased Cleaver farm. This is our incoming quarentine and customer breeding center.

Sales
Alpacas for Sale
Flying Pony Alpacas, LLC sincerely hopes and works to insure that every business transaction will result in good and trustful feelings.
- Interesting fact about the purchase of alpacas. * 36% of alpaca owners purchase their animals from over 1,000 miles away. 44% purchased alpacas sight unseen. The problem with that can be that the quality of the animal purchased may not be what you expect it to be. In some cases alpaca buyers are unhappy with their purchase. When they attempt to work with the seller they feel less then satisfied with the result. In order to mediate this risk Flying Pony has instituted the following customer support.
Every animal will be sold with full disclosure of known quality and background information provided prior to sale.
- Complete health exam for all animals purchased. This health exam is more inclusive than a standard insurance exam. It is the same exam that many auctions use to insure soundness of form and function.
- All cost is discussed up front.
- Transportation cost are shared or paid by Flying Pony Alpacas.
- For purchase of 3 or more travel fees are paid to view the alpacas and to visit our farms.
- Recommended health procedures are given for your vet’s approval.
- All animals come with a 30 day complete satisfaction guarantee. If the animal(s) you purchase from us is not exactly as we presented it to be you can return the animal.

Bob Fish
My name is Bob Fish and I own Flying Pony Alpacas, LLC. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I tend to be on the quiet side, working on the farm letting Ryan and the gang enter the shows and auctions. So this may be my first way to say hello to you.
I Love Alpacas
To be members of I Love Alpacas farms must adhere to the highest ethical standards.
I Love Alpacas - Flying Pony Alpacas, LLC is one of two Pennsylvania alpaca farms to be members of I love Alpacas. All members of I Love Alpacas must agree to uphold the highest standards of customer service, support, and ethics in the alpaca industry to remain a member of the I Love Alpacas co-op.
Reproduction
The courtship ritual of the alpaca is very unique. The females are induced ovulators, meaning there are no heat cycles, and that they can and do breed any time of the year. The physical act of breeding causes ovulation to occur. This is the main reason why most alpaca breeders will maintain separate male and female herds, so they can determine who breeds with whom and when. To date there have been no artificial inseminations nor viable embryo transplants in the alpaca industry, although this is happening in Australia!
